In the fall of 1985, I used to say that I was "the" CFO in CFOs2GO! Now, I am proud to say that I am just one of hundreds of consulting and part-time CFOs who have built their consulting practices through association with CFOs2GO.com. And this doesn't include the thousands of senior financial executives who have chosen to work with our executive recruiters and build their careers through direct hire.

Like so many consulting CFOs, I grew my consulting practice one satisfied client at a time, from a home office. After prerequisite tenures in public accounting and venture capital, I sought a different road to fulfillment of personal and professional goals.

Fifteen years ago, pundits said, "it couldn't be done". The alternatives in financial management were full-time chief financial officers, controllers, accountants, bookkeepers or, sometimes, a bookkeeping service. Outside specialists were available who could design, and perhaps even implement, narrowly defined solutions such as a computer conversion. The financial establishment, at that time, had a very inflexible solution for the dynamic new economy of growth companies that were just starting to reveal themselves to the Silicon Valley and San Francisco Bay Area.

Through specialization and hard work, our firm has become an expert in the Flexible Solution by developing an array of placement options including consulting, contract staffing, directorships or direct hire from Accounting Managers to CFOs. Our continuum of services enables us to be just as relevant to startups as to established high-growth companies. Thus, we are able to achieve an unmatched understanding of each company through long-term,

By the end of 1986, the names of our CFOs were associated with companies listed on Inc. Magazine's 500 Fastest Growing Companies.
